Under the blazing west coast sunshine, February 4, 2012 marked first Canadian edition of the Vans Hi-Standard Series at Mt. Seymour in Vancouver ,B.C. The event consists of an original big air format where riders are judged on individual style and no rotations over 720 are permitted. Rewarding creativity and self-expression, the Vans way. Those who rode with the more style and trick variety got paid.To check out the photos and results, click here.
A mind-blowing view over the city of Vancouver, jammin reggae rhythms, charging guitar riffs and the smell of sizzling hot dogs on the BBQ set the tone for a great group of AM riders who showed us that they can shred with style and work hard to stack dollar bills in their pockets!
Following the jump session was the Pro-Tec rail best trick portion with $500 up for grabs. Spring like conditions set the kids on fire and the down rail got served. Vancouver proved that next generation of rippers is coming on strong and you can bet that some stand out rider will be getting some more love from VANS in the future.
Next stop is Horseshoe Resort in Ontario and you can bet that this post event video is gonna make you want to join us on February 18th, see ya there!!
